    Info on the Rodspeaker: Drivers,Horns,etc..

Any info on what drivers were used in the Rodspeaker, especially the tweet in the upper left hand corner. As I would like to do 1 of 2 projects this year.I would like to build a dual woofer Config. So the Rodspeaker interested me.Right now I'm thinking of a dual 416 with a modded 511/288 and some kind of tweet maybe a 802/23744 or a Altec 3000B or JBl 077's for the upper HF's.I'm trying to determine wether this would be worth the effort.Any thoughts Thanks !!

Scans are Courtesy of: (Skywave-Rider) he was kind enough to do them for me Thank You !!! :thankU:

Doug Sax... I believe.... had monitors that included 288G/511E mid range and EV T350s tweeters. Don't know what he used for the woofers...hard to get internet info but my Dad had t350s over his altec horns and it was breath-taking. I have one of these tweeters and would like to find another....

John, why not just get a second set of nineteens? I'm guessing the sonic experience would be about the same with less work?

I know I thought about it But you don't see the Oak 19's to often and I don't think mixing the Oak and Walnut would be that pleasing to the eye.If another mint pair of Oaks come along I will consider snatching them up.

I think it will be fun and when they are done it will be a nice feeling of accomplishment, especially if I can get them to sound good. Then it will really been worth the effort.I have too much stuff lying around not being used time to put them to use.I've mixed and matched alot of Altec,JBL,enclosures, componets, but picking up some Baltic Birch ply and starting from scratch and installing my personal favorite drivers and such just seems like fun.Now I can't let all you other guys have all the fun right. My 604 project will be first though as I want to start with an easier gig to start out.

Russ, your looking at it as work which it is, but it will be relaxing, fun and I like working with wood.It will be mostly a weekend thing as I still have to work, I'm not retired.Building the cabs themselves will be easy,it is the tuning of boxes is where I will run into problems, I still have alot to learn in that department(Enclosures)but I have been reading and learning alot on the forums and I bought a book on enclosures design by Alex Badmaieff that I'm reading at the moment it should help also. Will see how it goes this maybe my first and last if all does not go well.
